Mike Stepp, Managing Partner


Mike Stepp is a senior financial executive with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and enterprise recapitalizations. He has led or participated in more than 100 transactions across private equity, manufacturing, technology, and financial services.


Mr. Stepp previously served as Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Collins & Aikman Corporation, where he led the integration, restructuring, and recapitalization of a $4 billion enterprise. He also served as Senior Managing Director and acquisitions partner at Heartland Industrial Partners, supporting the development of a global Tier 1 manufacturing platform through multiple acquisitions.


His experience includes transaction execution, capital structure oversight, sponsor engagement, and board-level governance. He holds a BS from the United States Military Academy and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.



Alan Colletti, Managing Director


Alan Colletti is an engineering, operations, and risk-management advisor with extensive experience supporting maritime assets across their lifecycle, from acquisition and reflagging through long-term operation and replacement newbuild programs.


As a consultant with Martin, Ottaway, van Hemmen & Dolan, Inc., he advises investors and asset owners on vessel operations, shipyard performance, regulatory compliance, safety management, and dispute resolution. His work supports disciplined asset protection and risk mitigation within capital-intensive maritime programs.


Mr. Colletti previously held senior operating roles overseeing tanker fleets and capital programs. He holds a BS from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law.



Dan Dobbins, Managing Director


Dan Dobbins brings extensive experience working with private equity portfolio companies and operating businesses across manufacturing and specialty industrial sectors.


He has held senior executive roles in automotive, textile, and specialty manufacturing enterprises, including serving as Executive Vice President of a $400 million automotive supplier and as Vice President in global Tier 1 automotive platforms. His experience includes operational oversight, restructuring execution, and sponsor-aligned exit strategy implementation.


Mr. Dobbins supports platform development initiatives with a focus on disciplined execution and enterprise value alignment. He holds a BA in Business and Economics from North Carolina State University.



Charlie Johnson, Managing Director


Charlie Johnson is a senior finance executive with more than five decades of leadership in asset-based lending and specialty finance.


He has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of a publicly traded finance company and held senior leadership roles within major banks and independent finance firms. His experience includes credit underwriting, restructuring, capital structuring, and governance oversight across industrial and transportation sectors.


A former President and Chairman of the Secured Finance Network, Mr. Johnson brings deep expertise in capital stack structuring, downside protection, and institutional risk discipline. He holds a BA in Economics from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Hartford.



Tom Keenan, Maritime Partner


Tom Keenan is a maritime operations executive with decades of experience managing technical, operational, and regulatory risk across U.S.-flag commercial fleets.


He previously served as Executive Vice President of Marine Operations at Liberty Maritime, overseeing engineering, operations, insurance, crewing, procurement, and regulatory compliance. Earlier, he held senior leadership roles directing fleet-wide operational and technical performance across large commercial vessel portfolios.


Mr. Keenan provides governance-level oversight and execution discipline for maritime investment programs. He is a graduate of SUNY Maritime College and holds a U.S. Coast Guard engineering license.



Ron McAlear, Managing Director


Ron McAlear is a maritime industry executive with leadership experience spanning new construction, vessel repair, industrial modernization, and shipyard operations.


He has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of major U.S. ship repair and construction enterprises, overseeing capital-intensive programs and complex industrial workforces. His experience includes shipyard selection, newbuild contracting, and industrial base coordination critical to U.S.-aligned fleet recapitalization initiatives.


Mr. McAlear holds advanced degrees in naval architecture and marine engineering and has completed executive education at Harvard Business School.



Graham Tompson, Managing Director


Graham Tompson has more than 35 years of executive leadership experience in global automotive component manufacturing, engineering, and product development.


He previously served as Senior Vice President of Collins & Aikman, where he led global development teams across multiple countries and established technical centers supporting product innovation and cost discipline. His experience includes strategy development, global sales leadership, and operational integration across international markets.


Mr. Tompson supports platform development initiatives with particular expertise in engineering-driven manufacturing environments. He holds degrees in polymer chemistry and polymer engineering from institutions in the United Kingdom.



Mark W. Yonge, Maritime Partner


Mark W. Yonge is a maritime transportation executive and policy advisor with decades of experience in U.S.-flag shipping, port operations, and marine highway development.


He is Founder and Managing Member of Maritime Transport & Logistics Advisors, LLC, where he has advised industry participants, port authorities, and government agencies on marine transportation strategy, program development, and federal maritime initiatives. He has played a significant role in advancing America’s Marine Highways framework and has provided testimony before Congressional committees on maritime transportation policy.


Mr. Yonge supports maritime investment initiatives through policy alignment insight, government program familiarity, and sector-level strategic perspective.
